Oman is on India's e-Visa eligible list, so you may apply online for an e-Medical visa — or use the paper Medical (MED) visa if it suits your route better.

Validity
Paper MED fee tiers run up to 6 months and up to 1 year; validity may be up to one year or the period of treatment, whichever is less. Note the mission counts validity from the date of issue, not the date of entry. For the e-Medical visa the official sources conflict (365 days versus 60 days) — confirm on your grant letter.

Required: an Indian hospital appointment or visa invitation letter, plus confirmation of the consultation and a visa request letter, alongside a local medical report not older than 6 months. Muscat does not publish the required contents, so the Ministry of Home Affairs format applies — patient name, diagnosis, hospital and place, consultant and speciality, cost and duration of treatment, passport numbers, and an authorised signatory with contact details.

The Embassy provides visa services to Omani nationals and to other foreign nationals residing in Oman — which matters because many medical travellers from Oman are Indian-origin or third-country residents rather than Omani citizens. A minimum residence-permit validity is not stated.
